Why do I keep seeing posts from a year ago getting bumped?

Especially if the person asking the question is not a member anymore. Is it for points? A secret game plan?
I've also noticed people actually answering!
Just weird to me.

  • I noticed this last night too. I'm not sure what the deal is, unless it's because people need to use up their answers for the day and we don't have enough questions

  • Oh geez! Is someone doing that again?

  • Click on the name of the poster and it will show who bumped the question. Then you know who is doing it.

  • I'm guessing simply for points but, who the hell knows. Some people do seem to have ulterior motives on here.

  • I'll answer if I'm not aware of when it was posted. I don't pay attention to dates/times on questions.

Whoever is doing the bumping must be striving for points, or to point out how topics are cyclical around here.

  • i have noriced a few times, after i answer, that the Q is really old
i do not look at when Q was made

do remember an old one was bumped, and a few people answered (me being one)
and it was a year old
    about a microwave on fire
the OP, tuned in and LOL
we all teased her asking if the fire was out yet

... so it can be fun to answer old ones
