I posted this once already and guess I wasn't clear. Hubby and I are going to take the kids down to Great Wolf Lodge in March. It will be part of an extended weekend trip that involves a very large Taekwondo tournament.
As part of the kids' Christmas gifts I want to take the phrase: Have A Howling Good Time, cut it into puzzle pieces and hide them around the apartment. Using riddle-clues the kids have to find the phrase, put it together in the right order, and figure out where we're going.
Clue #1 would be on the tree and start them off.
Your journey's just begun.
To find your next clue we'll have some fun.
Go to the place where you'd find a pun.
The second clue and first puzzle piece would be on a bookshelf.
Can y'all help me create more riddles like that?
Thank you all for your great ideas! Here's what we came up with:
Let the tracking begin
Smile and with a big grin
Sniff out the next clue
Where you find a towel or two
Hurray! You’re an ace
You are very smart
Now find the place
Where we depart
Congratulations! Now give a roar!
To make this trail not a bore
Track your way along the floor
To the place where dad does snore
You're doing well, so far so good!
You're following your nose, as you should.
Let's keep going, stay on track!
For the next clue, go find a snack.
Well done! You’re doing great!
Some underwear and a sock and its mate
Look in the place where dried clothes wait
Just one clue more, you're almost there!
Where can it be? Where oh where?
Excitement's got you all in fits
Find your last clue where mom sits!
Good job you did it! You found all six
Sort these clues out of the mix
Get the right order and before you’re done
You’ll discover where we’ll be having fun
