zantac or ranitidine and breastfeeding?

Anyone know if this is okay. I know I took it when pregnant...but that doesn't mean it's safe for breastfeeding. I also know that a general rule of thumb is that if it can be prescribed to a baby then it's usually okay to take while breastfeeding...my son actually does take zantac. I have an old prescription for ranitidine but I really need to take something before my chest goes crazy!!!

  • I think you'd have better luck with an answer if you joined the BFing group and asked there :)
