Do you buy an extra gift, just in case someone unexpectably shows up for Christmas?

I usually will purchase a nice box of Chocolates, Bottle of wine. You just never know.

I do, I keep a gift stash just in case, but I also keep a gift card or two on hand for emergencies.

No, but I never have company ever. The only person to ever visit is my mom, and we're spending Christmas with her.

Well, we always have wine, so it's not a big deal to throw a bottle in a bag and gift it. I have extra kid toys for birthdays and for those 'just in case' situations.

Yes, I will usually keep a basket of goodies, teas, maybe an ornament or 2 and a bottle of champagne
with cheese, crackers and breads... I also keep bath oils, body washes and other items like that in a
bag for someone who I know doesn't like the other items...
