Best remedy for a sore throat

I have the worst scratchy , sore throat and I'm wondering if anyone knows any remedies? I'm not much for medicines as I'm 38 weeks 2 days pregnant. I'd rather hear natural remedies. If I HAVE to, ill use Vic's.

And this isn't an ordinary sore throat, I literally feel like I've been screaming all night. Constantly have that "clear your throat" feeling. :x ugh.

Does the fetus feel these sicknesses ?

  • I agree with the others. Though that sounds like a post nasal drip kind of sore throat so you may also want to try gargling salt water and look into a netipot.

  • I know this is going to sound ucky - BUT it truly works for me!
    I take two asprin and desolve them in a glass of warm water - then i gargle just to the back of my throat with the water mixture - then spit out. I do it a couple of times till the water mixture is done. Re-do every 4 hrs.

  • Gargle with an alka-seltzer, or just eat marshmallows. Marshmallows were actually invented to help sore throats.
