Things we did in H.S. that would be a no-no today?

We dissected frogs dripping in formaldehyde. We were required to prick our fingers for science class (and passed the needle around) to see what our blood types were. We actually took typing classes on type writers! How about you?

  • Your frogs were dead!? Ours were alive. In fact, one of my friends freed hers by putting it out the window.

  • we were able to smoke at school- ON the property even
    they used paddles when I was in elementary school
    we used lockers...some schools now don't even let them use lockers
    we had drivers ed
    used real typewriters

    It was a graduation requirement where I went to school. Even the kids who were disabled and would never be able to drive still had to pass the written half of the class or no diploma.
