  • Do the parts you enjoy; ditch the rest. Remember the DARE years--just say no!

  • I limit myself to what "I" know I can do and handle and that includes gift buying, baking, decorating, etc...
If I am hosting dinners or gatherings, (which I do every yr) I start early with menu ideas, decorating, and
any other plans needed... and stick to them...

I take breaks in between, such as, I baked for 3 days straight, took a Saturday and had a
"no holiday day" and vegg'd with my boys and had a few beers..
The same goes with gift shopping, our budget allows for so much and I (early on) decide on how I
want to do gifts and this yr it's bake goods in gift bags with a few small store bought items...

And I have learned to say "NO" and I mean no ... if it's not in my plans and I am the one doing it, don't
ask me to change bc it won't happen...
I add no more than I know I can handle or plan on doing... I don't allow others to tell me how I should do
this that or the other... and I spend what I know I can on
