  • yes, if you are doing a basic tax preparation ( 1040ez). Turbotax will walk you through the preparation and efile for you. then it saves the information for several years for you to go back to and print as needed. We use it every year.

  • Keep in mind this is just for federal returns,and if you have a simple return and made less than 57,000
    The next cheapest for state is $10

  • taxact.com is free. I have used them every yr after finding them from the irs.gov site. I don't ever pay anyone to do my taxes. I have always made sure I get my money. I work for it, so why give more of it away?? lol

  • Most any good accountant can tell you how to file your US tax returns and if he is not sure he knows exactly where to go to find out. It should not cost much to get the answer. Most of the time you can only file Federal taxes for free , I used Tax Act to do it, it’s not as easy to get through the screens but it’s easy enough for me since I don’t have much investments or extra things to file. Check online for some information that may be important for your use.
