Which herb would go best with this?

i saw a commercial a few days back, don't remember what it was for but they showed a quick image of a whole chicken with thin sliced lemons placed over the breast in a circle, and some other herb that i couldnt identify because it was a quick thing. so today i bought the lemons and the chicken, and bought rosemary, thyme and dill. which do you think would go best with the lemon?

  • Rosemary and thyme both go great with chicken. I'm not sure about dill.

  • Thyme is one of the herbs that make chicken soup taste like Grandma's!! So it's perfect with chicken, but Rosemary is delicious too.

  • Go lightly with the rosemary - it can be overpowering.

By the way, you could also replace the herbs by putting a halved lemon or two inside the cavity ...
