  • Have you called your doctor about it. Normal BP is 120/80. So your is not bad.

  • How far along are you? Preeclampsia doesn't occur till after around the 22nd week.

Definitely check with your dr. It is higher than normal, so you may need a urine test to confirm. Good luck!

  • Preeclampsia is not something to play around with. Has your doc mentioned anything about your urine tests coming back with protein?

Talk to your doc about your concern at the next appt.

  • In my state 140/90 needs an OB consult if you are attempting a birth with a midwife.

There are things you CAN do to try to lower your blood pressure, but ask a professional first:

    1. Butcher's Broom supplements. (Ask a midwife, as your OB will FREAK OUT as it's not
    FDA approved!)

    2. A high protein diet. Eat 1/2 gram protein for every pound you weigh.

Have a great pregnancy! Twins will be quite an adventure!
