Obama Promised to Pull Troops out of Iraq within 16 months?

I don't see any news about him pulling out. Does anyone have any information?

  • He is now saying it will be 24 months. Just remember that he was saying 16 months while he was still a candidate and did not have access to much of the intelligence information. Now that he has been properly briefed he realizes that he cannot safely or successfully get the troops out in 16 months. Most of the troops will likely not be coming home anyway, they are trying to build up a insurgence for Afghanistan.

  • it dont matter pulling them out of iraq doesnt mean he's bringging them home. He's probably just gonna put them somewhere else so idkk why everyones saying he lied when he didnt... you people just assume and put words in his mouth.

  • They are going to pull them out of Iraq but a large number are now going to Afghanistan.

  • Obama now has access to all the information President Bush had an realizes he has to back off campaign promises. I knew he would not pull them out immediately like so many hoped. He can't he knows if he pulls them too soon we will be back only our soldiers will be in more danger than they are now.
