I had to cancel my appointment today because a Dr told me my daughter had chicken pox, but they called back and said she just had a rash from her strep throat. Now my OBGYN can't get me in until the 27th, but I need to go back to work on the 16th because my husband is off work right now, and my kids need to eat.
Do I have to get approval before going to work? Or can I return and just go get checked on the 27th?

3. Can you bar a woman from returning to work for a predetermined period after she gives birth?
A. No. You cannot have a rule, for instance, that a woman must wait a month following childbirth before returning to work.
