Is Lubbock, Tx a nice place?

Dh got offered a promotion if we move to Lubbock. Does anyone know if it's a nice area? I know nothing about it lol.

  • DH was born and raised in Lubbock. It's a great place, however, Texas Tech is there, UT is in Austin, honest mistake, booklover545. It doesn't rain lots, but they do get LOTS of snow, and it in in Tornado Alley. It's the hometown of Buddy Holley, and they have a really nice memorial to him there, but most everything revolves around Texas Tech, and the Red Raiders. DH still has a sister that lives there, but his parents have both passed away, so we haven't visited since his dad's funeral a couple years ago.

  • i had a friend move to Lubbock for college and he hated the area, said it was dead. but ive also had family friends from there who loved it. it all depends on what you want out of an area.
