Am I doing this wrong too?

I'm doing a lot of research on resumes and job searching tonight. I think with a few tweaks, my resume will be better and might actually get me an interview. I found a few things that I was doing wrong and have corrected them.

What I'm wondering is if I'm wrong to mention in my resume that I am relocating. I'm applying for jobs about an hr away from where I live (same state). I'm concerned that employers will see that I live an hour away and not give me another thought. Should I mention it in my cover letter?

  • I would mention it in the cover letter briefly.

  • Do you have the actual location you will be moving to? If you do fine. If not you can say looking to relocate to XYZ area at my own expense.

  • I would mention it in the cover letter, or if you include an objective in your resume, you may wish to include it there as well.
