Is it dangerous to be around a person with HIV?

I don't think so I was just wondering what you all thought

  • No, it's no dangerous, unless you're exchanging bodily fluids. Just being in a room with or even touching a person with HIV/AIDS is fine. I have a good friend who has had HIV for 8 years, and I'm around him all the time.

  • You won't catch AIDS just by being around someone who has it, but your chances will increase dramatically if body fluids are transferred.

  • Bodily fluid is the only way to transfer HIV/AIDS from person to person. It's not airborne.

  • Not unless you are having unprotected sex, sharing needles or somehow getting their bodily fluids into yours.
