  • Reactionary and illogical pandering taking advantage of a tragedy to further a political agenda

  • At this point I'd be happy to see people quit looking for reasons to excuse his behavior (guns, laws, etc) and put the blame where it belongs, on the guy who killed over 2 dozen people of his own free will.

  • He could have just as easily tossed a large home made bomb into the classroom...

Or simply aimed a vehicle at the playground...

  • Why cut up the NRA card which advocates law abiding citizens the right to possess firearms? Where are the people crying that the man acted as a criminal, not only by murder but also by the facts stated above?
Again, criminals care naught about the laws.

  • I am all for some amount of gun control laws. More like consistent ones... right now there is anything from same day purchase to 14 day waiting periods... but guns, unfortunately, have a place in the hands of citizens. taking away guns will not take away criminals and it will not prevent tragedy. He could have just as easily tossed a large home made bomb into the classroom... There are many efficient ways to create mass destruction and cause tragic loss of life.

  • Why do you "need" a car that can go over 100 mph?

  • Assault weapons are not needed to protect your home and should be banned. Why would you need a high powered assault weapon?

I challenge you to define the term "assault weapon". I've yet to meet a single person who whined about them who knew what the fuck they were talking about in the first place.

  • had no criminal background to show up and cause denial of purchase.

He also didn't purchase the guns- he stole them from his mother, which means they were illegally obtained, which means gun laws had fuckall to do with this crime.
