  • Except for the fact that the right to keep and bear arms is in the fricking Constitution, and the right to drive a vehicle is NOT, yeah, I totally see the point of this. Unless we no longer live by the Constitution.... In which case, I need my guns more than ever.

  • I am not against guns but even if its regulated it will not stop the massacres, criminals will eith find one illegally or they will use another means for killing. Its not the gun that is the problem its the gun in the wrong persons hands and the wrong person can ALWAYS find a way to get a gun

  • What difference does any kind if new regulation make? Do criminals worry about regulation? NO! The ppl who obtain guns legally are not the ones committing these mass murders! Does crime happen with legal guns, yes, but ppl who premeditate and go to this detail as what we've seen at Columbine or in CT, the shootings at the mall, etc., these evil criminals don't care about the law, obviously! Just my general thoughts on this, not just in reaction to this post.

  • So, everyone agrees that criminals are the issue here so how about we do a surprise house to house sweep across the US and toss them all in jail

    Sieg Heil!

  • And how does any of those things stop a person from stealing either and using it however they please? Atleast stolen cars are somewhat easier to locate when the owner notices its missing

  • and ppl in cars kill other ppl every day...more so than guns. and what happens when someone steals a gun (like the current mass shooter did)? and most negative use of guns is from illegal guns...so there goes that.

im for stricter regulations on guns that no one needs, machine guns, semi-automatics...theres no point to that. but making laws out of fear is wrong. it would just put a small bandaid on a HUGE problem.

  • Okay fine guns like cars... now lets think about it...

How may people drive without a license. How many steal cars. How many people drive without maintaining insurance. How many people choose to continue to drive but never renew their license. Lets also take into account all of the people killed by dunk and reckless drivers who have perfect records and up to date documents while driving lawfully purchased and maintained vehicles.

It is nice in theory but in reality it would not have stopped any of the most recent killings and more than the car related laws prevent car related deaths. How many people were killed in that pile up in Texas right before Thanksgiving? 109 I think. No body is screaming to ban cars or make stricter driving laws...
