im almost 6 weeks prenant.ultrasound shows pregnancy but no heartbeat.Dr says its too early 4 it true?

im also havin pain in my back plus in my lower abdomen it normal.

  • Not 100% sure but they found the heart beat on my DD at 7 weeks with no problem....

  • That doctor was lying. They should be able to detect it, but sometimes the baby is in a position where they can't get it. So maybe that's all it is.

  • my doctor was able to get a heart beat at 7weeks on every not sure y they wouldnt b able to get one...pain usually isnt normal

  • i was just over 6 weeks when i had first scan
    there was heartbeat but very faint
    they made appt for another scan in a week
    i was worried too
    in one more week, there it was going strong

    try not to worry- did they set up tume for next scan?

    and back ache (a long with many other things can come with pregnancy)
    keep dr office informed of anything that seems odd or worries you

  • I was 5 weeks when I had an internal ultrasound & the heart beat was clearly visible & audible.

  • It's funny to how you all freak out about stuff that us grandmas, didn't even have to worry about back when we were having kids.
    I didn't have a ultrasound tell I think around 6 months. No, baby sex. I didn't even really know if I was pregnant. We didn't have pregnancy tests back then.

  • it can be quite normal not to detect a heart beat that early on, everyone is different, and I just love people saying the Dr is a liar ugh.........

  • At four and six weeks I had a vag. ultrasound. They heart beats were detectable but weak compared to later ultrasounds.

  • i know alot of doctors that cant get a good heartbeat til 8 weeks!
