Do your kids actually STUDY for their exams?

Do you quiz them to help them achieve the "perfect grade"?

  • Yes they study, and quiz them if they want me to. It's not about getting the "perfect" grade it's about learning the material and teaching them their education matters.

  • I help our son study, but I don't expect perfection, I expect him to do the best he can. Anything below a C isn't acceptable, so he knows if he doesn't make an effort he will lose his Jeep, and phone.

  • I have always helped my kids with tests, starting with their spelling tests in kindergarten. In 6th and 7th grade they've had very few "exams" but I am teaching them how to make notecards to quiz themselves and I quiz them sometimes from their notes if they ask for help. They are straight A students and pretty much know how much studying, if any, they need to do for a particular subject. If their grades drop, we will have a mandated study time.
Yes, they study for some tests, and I help them.

  • Mine isn't old enough for exams yet. I do quiz him for his spelling tests so he does well though. I doubt I will quiz him when he is in High School unless he wants my help studying.
