  • Of all possible ailments to try the power of positive thinking on, that's probably the least likely to have an impact. If someone does not have the ability to think clearly, they cannot think positively.

  • "Nothing is impossible with God", which means that he can heal the mentally ill, he just chooses not to.

  • Praying...How to feel like you're doing something without actually contributing anything.

  • prayer can not fix a chemical imbalance in the brain, brain damage due to substance abuse, it cant change your genetic make up, exposure to toxins, psychological trauma, infections or the many other reasons ppl suffer from mental illness. it may be able to make a mildly mentally ill person feel better, but it wont cure anything.

  • Nope, praying might make the person doing it feel better about themselves but it doesn't actually accomplish anything.

  • If that were actually true, we'd have absolutely zero mental illness in this world. As we know however, there is an abundance of it in our world.
while some claim it's "possible" this most certainly doesn't mean "yes" or that we have ANY shred of proof that god has done this. It's grasping at straws when one has nothing left to grasp at.
