  • Don't give me that people kill people bullshit. Those 20 babies weren't strangled on Friday...High velocity lead poisoning killed them. Guns. Kill. People.

  • DJ, my comment was directed to the tired cry 'guns kill people'. Like the article stated, people are killed in auto accidents, too, with laws un place to protect human life, but we don't blame the car...we blame the driver. Likewise, we can't blame the gun, but the shooter.

  • dismissing tragedies such as the one in Sandy Hook as not having to do with guns is absurd to me.

  • Ok, sure, lets legislate guns, since they are used to kill people. Then we would have to add cars, knives (even kitchen knives), flammable liquids, steal/iron pipes, rope, nylons, water, and hands since hey have also been used to kill people. Blaming this on guns is like blaming the guitar for the being out of tune when it's played.

  • why didn't we do it in 1999 with columbine? why didn't we do it with va tech? so many questions it is very sad it had to get this far to this horrible masscre( there was one in like 1937 tha killed 45 students)...why didn't we do it than. maybe now is the time for real change but it has to be in a positive way and with out limiting our rights. its going to be difficult.

Anyone who is pro gun should be ashamed of themselves.

  • No. Purely emotional reactions will net negative results.

  • Other countries do not have our constitution.

Why not execute all criminals. It would reduce the chance of one getting out of prison and killing someone and it might be a deterrent to those who would take another life.
Maybe not since those with the big showy mass murders are looking for immortality and probably are just as happy to be "martyrs".
Maybe we should execute every person who was mean, discriminated (in the smallest way), abused, (in even the smallest way) or was spoiled since we know these kinds of things MIGHT produce a "troubled" person.
Maybe we should eliminate every persone in a murder's gene profile, backwards and forewards. If we did all these things there would be a lot less murders too because there would be less people.
PEOPLE kill people. If you want to eliminate the problem go to the source. Do you have the courage to do that? Or the fear?
