My 3 yr old has a fever of 102.7 F and a cold. What should I do?

I'm rotating Tylenol and Motrin and the fever will go down and then it spikes back up.

  • That's pushing the "too high" temp. I would call pediatrician office first thing this morning.

  • Call the doctor and give him/her a cool bath and cool wash cloth to hold. It's not too high but you don't want to go too much over 103.0 without going to ER if you've already given meds. Does their throat hurt? it could be strep.
