Yo Gabba Gabba. Why??

Sitting with dh before he heads to work and we're being tortured by yet another yo gabba gabba episode.

When this convo happened:

Dh: "Why is that green thing so emotional?"

me: "Emotional? He just wants to be big like his friends."

dh: "No, seriously. Every time I watch this he goes through a tornado of emotion. Every episode. Happy, sad, angry, surprised. Is dude bipolar?"

No at that moment I was actually a little mad. Leave him be. But he grabbed the remote and started playing other yo gabba gabba episodes and in a few I could see it.

So I ask you ladies, what's up with brobee?

Weird question, I know.

  • You'd think he'd just be thankful not to look like a giant studded dildo like this dude...

  • Hmm. You're right. Hadn't noticed. My husband and I just like to imitate the dance "the green thing" does. With the arms. It's awkward.

  • DS outgrew YGG before it was on for very long so I never noticed, but I do remember the whole thing having a Mr. Rogers feel to it, so perhaps they're using the same general mission statement?

  • LoL!!

I know that they have to appeal to toddlers, but brobee....something about him is so wrong.

  • He's only like 2-3yo so I find it pretty normal, but I agree he is very emotional... My ds used to LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba until about 6months ago, he's 3.5 :P I miss the songs actually, some of them were pretty cute :) His favorite was always Plex, he loves robots and the color yellow so Plex was perfect :)
