Does toothpaste and salt work to get rid of cold sores?

I have cold sore right before Christmas and new years i cant take family pictures like this! Moms help!please!

  • Try baking soda instead of salt. In addition to the healing properties of salt, baking soda will neutralize the acid in your saliva, which will speed up the healing process.

  • Never heard of that, but I use rubbing alcohol. At the first sign of tingle start putting a little rubbing alcohol on it every couple hours. It dries it right up in a day or two.
