WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR OUR CHILDRENS SCHOOLS TO UPGRADE THE PROTECTION AND SECURITY OF OUR CHILDREN!!!!!! WAKE UP AMERICA

I DO NOT understand at all how there could not be much security in any Elementary school. I contacted my sons school PTA first and they didn't really know what to say then she directed me to the Principal and She said NONSENSE that i see now is just a ridiculous excuse for not having more security. She said that due to the schools budget they cannot afford more security guards. "i couldn't believe it". Just like the Government pays so much of non working Americans to stay home and do nothing then how about using that money to hire more security guards or change the safety. HELLOOOOOOOOOOO......WAKE UP AMERICA, GOODMORNING!

I am also thinking of making a petiton and having moms sign it or have moms or other qualified people volunteer to do shift at the schools and help in some way upgrade the protection and security of OUR CHILDREN.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE!

THIS IS MY OPINION....MY QUESTION.....AND I LOVE TO WRITE IN CAPS......XOXO LOL

LOVE <3 .....NOT WAR....

IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION THATS OKAY.....JUST LIKE ITS OKAY THAT I DO AS WELL!

NOT MAD AND NOT YELLING.....LOL

  • SHAME on you NP, the horse is not dead and people should continue to be angry that such tragic deaths are happening in America. We will not be defeated. Grow up , who cares if OP likes to type in caps!

  • The problem is, our children shouldn't have to be attending schools with security guards. There's something deeper going on in society that has made school shootings an issue. Lack of mental health services is closer to the root of the problem. Instead of hiring more security guards, how about hiring more mental health professionals to deal with people before they explode? Or to deal with young bullies before they terrorize their peers, who end up exploding? Instead of making digs at non-working Americans who sit home and do nothing, how about working through your own anger at a tragedy that shouldn't have happened, which is causing you to blame everybody from your PTO to your principal to disadvantaged Americans who don't have jobs?

  • The first thing you should do is stop yelling at us.

  • it takes ppl not freaking out over one horrific tragedy. it takes ppl using calm logic and reasoning based on the resources of the community. making sweeping changes in a time of panic is not the smart thing to do.

locking up the children, buying them bullet proof backpacks, making school a locked down compound may calm our fears but it wont solve the problems our country has with ppl not getting the mental health care they need.

  • Ouch, my eyes.

Anyway, my kids' schools don't need security guards. I found out first hand that they handle things quite well. There was a parent altercation at the elementary school and they immediately removed the parents and locked down the school. The kids never had any idea anything was wrong until the teachers explained why they were on lock down. The middle school/high school had a student email other students saying they were going to hurt people during morning meeting. The students reported it, the cops were called, security and cops were at the school the next morning just in case. This was all well before the shooting in CT.

Besides, it's about mental health access, not beefing up security in schools.

  • Managing to miss the fact that all caps is the equivalent of yelling on the internet for over 20 years is naive. Being informed of that fact and continuing to do it anyway for your own amusement is rude. Expecting be to taken seriously after doing that is simply stoned.

  • BUT NOT STONED! OR YELLING!

Your story, you tell it however you want. Doesn't mean anyone believes it.

Ok, you're right, sorry. The magic, reactionary money fairy will instantly give schools all kinds of overprotective things they don't need to address a problem that doesn't actually have anything to do with schools, but is, in fact, much larger. More overreacting and focusing on one tiny thing will instantly cure all the mentally ill and prevent determined people from ever killing anyone again by adding another security guard to the OP's schools, even if a few more teachers have to be fired to pay for it.

But the fact remains, the OP was trolling last night, and this issue was just an excuse, spurred on by a post in JFF. The fact that she was making light of it for her own entertainment is far more disgusting to me, so I guess we just have different priorities.

  • Op you are a bit of a emotional basket case. You are not thinking clearly. If someone wants to hurt others they will find a way. We should try to protect ourselves but we have to be realistic.

Side note-your caps is poor etiquette. But your too emotional and irrational to care beyond screaming your own opinion.
