  • It was Governor Ronald Reagan of California who signed the Mulford Act in 1967, "prohibiting the carrying of firearms on one's person or in a vehicle, in any public place or on any public street."

And crime went up in CA afterwards.

As for the Brady Bill, he kind of had to support it, since it was written about the man who SHOT him...

Honestly, I really have no interest in engaging with people who know nothing about guns when these debates come up, but that pretty much eliminates the majority of anti-gun supporters. Can't be bothered to learn about what they fear, so they just make irrational demands.

    He also had Alzheimer's...

I think her point is she's afraid of guns so nobody else should be allowed to have one, and she'll throw everything including the kitchen sink at trying to make that happen.

  • This is all well and good, but when are we going to talk about the real reasons these tragedies are happening?

  • Magazines with more than 10 shots is CRAZY and so are those who want them!!

And THIS is what we should be discussing. NOT the gun laws themselves, but the reason behind these massacres. These discussions are pointless unless people stop with the emotions and begin a real examination of the reasons why people take up guns and carry enough ammo to march into battle and walk into schools, malls, and theaters with the intent to kill as many people as possible.
