Are you a "Holiday Christian"?

Or someone you know?
Do you get all religious and self righteous ONLY on Christmas and Easter?

Facebook if rife with them this year. Makes me sick. Don't they know we read what they write about the other 363 days of the year?!

  • Apparently, me and NP know alot of the same people cause I see a lot of those too. They will be cussing one minute, then the next they are complaining about how we need to be a "Christian Nation" again. Really makes me scratch my head.

    Point in case: you have to walk the walk and talk the talk in your faith, everyday, not just when it's convenient for you.

  • What cracks me up is when those people then criticize Christians who are actually living what they believe, and tell them they're doing it wrong. I know a few people like that.

  • I know a few, but they're better described as Christmas/Easter/Election/Tragedy Christians. They're out partying every weekend until some new facebook meme blaming everything on non-Christians pops up in reaction to a recent event. Then they whine about their hangover and follow it with poorly spelled images about Obama declaring war on religion and keeping Christ in Christmas.

  • I'm never a Christian. I have known people like that before, but all of my Christian Facebook friends are pretty consistent. They post religious stuff here and there through the year, and never obnoxious judgmental stuff. The Christians I'm friends are pretty cool, live-and-let-live Christians.

  • I do not know if thwey are "christian" the other days but maybe they are just more voca closer to the holidays.

    I do not think I am more Catholic at any given time of the year but there are certain holidays that remind me more keenly. If that makes sense.

  • I don't ever get self righteous or Godly on Facebook or elsewhere any time of the year. I do celebrate holidays but as for how religious I am....well I have my own opinions, beliefs, and doubts just not sure where they fit. My son does attend a Christian preschool and is goes to Sunday school often and I encourage the things he learns because I want him to have faith. When he grows up he can choose how he feels about it, as I did.
