I just instituted a new policy

No whining and no messes left behind through Christmas! LOL

The first hour has gone wonderfully.

Have you issued any new policies recently? How's is it going?

  • I like that policy. It would work for the next two hours. In other words, right up until everyone came home.

I have a big no whining sign in the kitchen but it hasn't really made much of an impact.

  • I did just this morning. I told my boys if the living/dining room area gets the least bit messy, nothing that comes home Christmas night can be taken out of their boxes until it's clean again. So far, so good. We leave in less than 24 hours and as of now I'm confident my house won't be destroyed before then.

  • None for the oldest, he's helpful & sweet all year round. :) For my middle son, his girlfriend can come visit, but she is NOT spending the night! For my youngest, the "no whining" is a big one! Esp. since my husb. is working on Christmas & we will have to stare at presents under the tree but not open them! Pure torture! :p
