How nutritious is this? adult content

I am eating half a sweet potato with cream cheese and homemade cherry spice jam on top.

Any nutritional value to this or did I just add crap to a sweet potato?

It's delicious btw, my kid likes it too. Just playing with leftovers.

  • The sweet potato is good for you. The cream cheese is a dairy and the cherry is a serving of fruit...right? Please say yes!

    That sounds delicious!

  • The sweet potato itself is very nutritious. A lot of Vitamins A & C and a lot of fiber. The cream cheese also has a lot of Vitamin A and also calcium. Cherry spice jam has the nutrition of the cherries.

So, all in all, not a horrible thing to eat :)

  • Rotfl. Caution sign in F&D about sweet taters. Awesome!

The fact you got your little one to eat a cup nulls and voids all caloric extras you added to yours! Lol!

  • Once again you kill me Staci. I love how you can manage to go from discussing sweet potatoes to boning. Priceless!

  • Sweet potatoes are really good. Lot of beta carotene and potassium.

  • I think anything that helps get you to eat something nutritious can be a good choice. The cream cheese and jam didn't add any nutritional value to it, but it didn't take away from the nutrition of the sweet potato.

Who eats just a plain steamed sweet potato, anyway? Yuck.

  • I was going to ask the same thing as PMS... that sounds rather odd.
