  • Investment bankers generate funds for banks by either stock investment or venture capital.

Venture capital means they give money to a starting or growing company in exchange for partial ownership. The company will then send payments to the bank and the bank will decide when to sell their stake in the company.

It takes about 5 years as an investment banker to make 500,00 a year plus bonuses.
A new investor typically starts off at 62,00 a year plus bonuses.
