Cheesecake density ?

What do I adjust (eggs ?) to make a denser cake ? Recipes is cream cheeses,2 eggs,vanilla & wh choco & sugar ?

  • Don't know if it will help you or not because I do not make home-made, but my mother always used lemon jello in hers.

  • Not sure because, if you adjust the recipe with an additional egg, it may be troublesome. I'd see if I could find a recipe that calls for 3 eggs instead of two

  • I am with Miss Prissy, on this one. More eggs will make it denser, but just chucking one into a two egg recipe could be problematic.

  • I've noticed that the lighter cheesecakes have things like sour cream, ricotta cheese, cream, half and half, or gelatin in the batter. Look for a recipe with fewer ingredients...mainly just cream cheese and eggs and not much else. I like a dense cheesecake also. I like the sour cream topping from time to time as well.
