Swollen vagina during period? adult content

I'm 45. During my last couple periods, my vagina has become so swollen that I can only wear pads, no Diva Cup or even tampons. Could this be a premenopausal symptom? Could it be something else?

  • Doesn't sound right to me. I'd go in for an exam ASAP. Are you swelling all over during/before your period? Maybe you have high blood pressure & are retaining too much fluid. You may need a water pill to expell the excess fluid in your body. Either way, it's time for a visit to the OBGYN. GL!

  • No swelling all over, only in my vagina.

  • Could be pH changes or very mild yeast or something like that.
    Talk to your gyno.

  • Good grief. If my vagina was swollen I would be running to a doctor, and not asking online.
