Fake or real tree? Anyone like their fake tree?

I'm asking because of allergies. We're wondering if a fake one would be better. Not prettier but better for all the allergies we have.

  • I've always had an artificial tree. Even as a kid. They make them durable & w/ lights, so you can store it away & use it year after year. No need to worry about the allergies, the tree drying out & causing a fire & those pesky needles to step on or wreck your sweeper.

  • Fake, and pre-lit. So much easier!

  • i hate real trees, they're messy and you have to keep them watered, mine would die really fast lol never thought of the allergy thing but i guess i shouldn't ever get one since my dd has terrible allergies. i prefer my fake pre lit one anyway :)

  • I love real trees but we can't have one, not with the allergies in the house. We have a fake tree and I like it, its really pretty if you fluff the branches out enough.

  • I have a fake tree and I like my fake tree. I haven't had a real tree since I was a little kid so I don't know how my allergies would react, but though I love the smell and look of real trees, I like that I don't have clean up after my fake tree or throw it away after Christmas.

  • We got a fake tree because real trees have kept going up in price year after year. It's nice enough, and convenient to set up and take down. And it's pre-lit. I miss the smell of a real tree, but the fake ones have a lot of advantages.
