"The Giving Tree"

I kept hearing how great that book was.. How Great it IS! ... So I found it on youtube being read by the original author & watched it with my 6yo DD...

I just dont get why its such an "AMAZING" book...... Please someone explain.... It just seemed depressing & slow to me..

  • I agree. The book in my opinion is a less than book. I get the meaning but it is blah.

  • Because the book has an amazing message about life in a very sweet story. It is well written and defies time and crosses generations. It will always be a relevant story no matter how 'advanced' our world becomes.

  • I fu..king HATE that book. I do not see how that book represents values any parent would want to raise their child to uphold. It is a horrible, degrading book.
