Can't figure out what is wrong with my kid. He says after he eats, he feels like he needs to burp but can't.

And he's very uncomfortable and it happens a lot in the evening. Any thoughts? I thought maybe acid reflux? He's 10.

  • No carbonation. Poor kid, I think I have to take him in because he will sometimes panic and cry. : (

  • LOL- get him into the cafemom doctor's office where we can all try out our suggestions on him and ask if it helped!

  • Does he chew his food well and slowly, or does he bolt his food?

Sometimes we are so hungry we really swallow too large pieces and our esophagus and stomache have difficulty pushing it through to be digested. If we eat too fast our brains may not realize we are full and so we eat too much to feel full but are then overly full.

  • My cousin has acid reflux and burps loud and a lot after eating. I'm not sure if not burping is acid reflux. If it hurts I'd call the dr.

  • I'd try to get him into the doctor this week. It could be reflux, and for a kid that's sometimes kinda scary.
