Is it true that gender can be determined by what postion the placenta in?

  • It can be determined by which sex chromosomes the father provided. You can usually get a good guess after 20 wks w/ an ultrasound.

  • With the ultra sound in about 20-22 weeks this is as far as I know anyway..

  • There is an idea that depending on which side the placenta is on determines if the baby is a boy or girl, although I can't remember which side is supposed to mean what. There was a sort of study done on it and it was found to be somewhat accurate but I can't remember how accurate it was!

    The only true way to know is to give birth, lol, because ven ultra sounds aren't 100% but it's fun guessing and using different methods! ;)
