Do you think a cat could get sick from humans?

This week my kids have had the flu... horrible flu. My oldest was put on steroids and a nebulizer because the flu really f-ed up his lungs.

Anyway... our cat, who is healthy and not sick, developed pink eye.

Just curious if it could be related. Not a big deal either way... but seem too much to be a coincidence.

  • I wish I had the link, but I just read recently that they can. It seems bizarre, but our pets can catch the flu from us so I don't see why this would be different.

  • I think it's rare, but some illnesses might spread or effort the pets immune system.
