Why should people demanding stricter laws be taken seriously when they are campaigning left and right for someone who willfully violated them on national tv to not be prosecuted?
The TLDR: David Gregory brandished a 30 round magazine on NBC's Meet The Press in the city limits of a city which outlaws 30 round magazines. NBC asked for police permission before the show and were DENIED. It is now being investigated.
The fallout - anti-gun bloggers, editorialists and journalists across the net are insisting he doesn't deserve to be prosecuted because he did it for a "good cause". The same anti-gun bloggers, editorialists and journalists insisting we need stricter laws. So why, if the laws are so important, is it ok to make exceptions for other anti-gun journalists?Answer Question

There will be no punishment on that guy. They will claim "opps, just a misunderstanding is all, our bad." I do wonder how that guy was able to get that clip. Wash DC has the toughest gun laws, next to Illinois. If anything they will probably fine them a couple grand. But the reporter will ot get charged with anything like you or I would if we did that.
