Agree with PMSmom10 - a tablespoon of sugar bit of sugar cook for a little longer and if you still taste the acid a little more sugar till it actually takes the metalic taste out...
I have read that if you have an aluminum pan, the tomatoes and the acid play off the pan..were you using stainless steel to cook your soup?
Okay, I added the sugar and now am letting it sit overnight in Calphalon stainless steel pot. My kids hate crushed tomatoes so I use paste or puree because dh and I like the tomato flavor in it. It's a vegetable soup.
