Im a 25yr old single mother of one(by circumstance)
Im thinking of becoming a single mother by choice
can you share your experiences with me
have you ever had any issues after having the baby
such as getting a passport? filing for financial aid for collage ?
I want to know the good and the bad

If you are going to leave a nasty comment about how I shouldn't be thinking about having another one please keep your opinion to your self

  • I'm sorry - how would having a 2nd child cause problems getting a passport? Maybe I'm just tired still, but I don't get that at all.

You already have one kid. The only thing that will change is you'll have 2. You'll have to care for 2, feed 2, provide for 2. It's no different.

  • Only "issue" I could see would be explaining to the kid later in life why they have no listed father.

And, if the only reason you are considering this is because you think you might get more financial aid, I would advise against it. Most of the grants for moms work based on the fact that you have a child, not the number of them.

  • If the father is not listed on the birth certificate there should be no problem with getting a passport or anything else since you will be the only guardian for the child.
