Can you freeze Whipping Cream?

I bought Extra Real Whipping Cream! My Daughter needed a pound cake so I gave her our's!. DH & I finished the Strawberries.. So now I have three 1/2 pints of whipping Cream left! Can I freeze it or not? Have you done this with good results? By the Way How do you make it? Meaning what do you sdd+ Vanilla? Sugar? What?

  • When I whip cream, I whip it until it is slightly thick then add a couple tablespoons of powdered sugar (to taste) and about a teaspoon of vanilla, continue whipping until thick, but don't over-whip or you'll end up with butter.

  • You can freeze it after it is whipped, but after you freeze whipping cream, you can't whip it, although you can use it in cooking.
