my son is 3years old they just messured him at 37inches 2cm how tall would that be and is it normal for his age?

what was the percentile? 50% is 'average' above is taller than average and below is shorter than 'average'. Sounds on the shorter side without looking it up- but there is nothing wrong with that! Not everyone can be tall!

My son has always run around 50% for height and that's slightly shorter than he was at that age.

They don't. OP has it wrong.

That is 3 ft 1 in and it is average for that age.

It's normal. I've heard 36 months 36 inches and 36 pounds is normal. But Google growth charts to see the percentage.
