Are nosebleeds a normal part of pregnancy?

Because I totally freaked out last night when my nose started randomly bleeding for no reason at all for the first time in my life.

  • Yes. I got horrible nosebleeds daily with both of my kids. Run a cool mist humidifier at night in your bedroom. It will cut down on them a lot.

  • Yes.... use Ocean Nasal Spray (or the store brand) often to prevent them... it's only Saline, not medicated. I LOVED on that stuff thru both pregnancies!!

  • Nosebleeds can intensify during pregnancy, particularrly if you had them before. A dab of Vaseline inside each nostril should help, as should a humidifier or even a pot of boiling water on the stove.
