My 5 year old is having issues sleeping. We lay down at 830 and he is up till 11 or 12. just laying there. He will get out of bed over and over again. And i dont know what to do anymore. plus he gets up at 5-6 no matter what. What can I do to get him to go right to bed?

Does he take naps? If so, cut the naps out. I heard some moms give their kids melatonin pills.

Is he is preschool or kindergarten? Maybe he isn't getting enough exercise during the day to expel all his energy. Then look at his diet. Does he eat sweets, caffeinated beverages, check for food dye additives (red, blue etc.) in what he eats & drinks too. Eliminate all.
