Anyone ever tried a csa

so I'm thinking of joining a csa
the one I'm looking into is 250 for 15 weeks
if you have been part of one
can you tell me about your experiences ?
and was it worth it in the end ?

  • We keep talking about it. That's a great price! Do you get a box every week for that? Can you exchange out food at yours? The ones we've looked at will let you if you get food you won't eat. There are a TON of CSAs where we are.

  • I am thinking about doing it this year too. It will be my 1st time. I work at an organic restaurant and the chef said I can use their restaurant discount at some of the farms. I have a friend who does them every year says she will split one with me. I have 5 kids, so I plan to join at least a few.

    I'll be stalking this post to see if anyone else answers who has done it.

  • I don't, only because our garden could support our own CSA some years.

    I think they can be really awesome. Just research the different farms and their options.
