  • 140 / 90 is where the line is drawn. Its the highest normal you can get and your doctor would be showing some concern. Anything over 140 / 90 is high. Anything lower than 140 / 90 is normal. So yes your blood pressure for this visit is normal and good. Typically you want it to be around 120 / 80 and keep in mind that it varies throughout the day and depending what you are doing (lots/little of activity, stress, food).

  • Are you the perpetually 28 weeks anon that's been on here for several months?
117 is normal,130 is not that bad.
Do you not speak with your doctor during your visit?
    (does anyone anymore??)

  • That is a normal reading, I can relate to your anxiety, but being anxious can also bring the blood pressure up, relax, everything will be fine with your twins....

  • Not high, and for it to be preeclampsia there would need to be protein in your urine. Just high blood pressure, which yours isn't, is not indicative of preeclampsia.

  • I'm thinking you're fine and your doctor would have told you if they were concerned... as you stated above you know how serious it is and how serious it is taken...

  • Keep checking it at home and make a log of your readings. BP can fluctuate during the day, under times of stress, and other factors. You can pick up a monitor from any drugstore for around $25.

117 is in the normal range.

  • Both of those are good readings. Probably why your doctor wasn't concerned.
