2 Bumps

Gassy baby.

I have a 2 month old baby, breastfed. I can't get her to burp for nothing, the other day she was so gassy is was misserable. I laid her on her tummy, rubbed her back, bounced her while walking around. She finally got so sleepy she passed out. took a while. Nothing worked, any ideas to try if it happens again?

  • I took a sock and filled it with rice, microwaved for a few seconds and then laid that on the tummy over clothes to soothe baby

  • I hadn't thought about what I eat making her gassy thanks I"ll try to watch what I eat. I'llhave to cut out anything that makes me gassy. for starters. cut back on soda drinking more water. I never thought of the rice thing. thanks.

  • You are singing my tune, OP. Fifth baby, very gassy, only one who's been like this. I'm not sure what I'm eating to cause HER gas, as its not really causing me to have gas. I need to pick her up some gas drops to see if that helps.

  • How about Mylicon gas drops? I used them for both my babies. They work very well.

  • As for the burps, I tap her back until they happen after a feeding that i hear her swallow air, sometimes takes 20 minutes.
