Do I tell my new partner family that I was married for 10 years and I am in the process of getting divorce?

I am pregnant with my new partner baby now, and they planning to come and attend the birth. It's there first grand child

  • Why do you feel they need to know? Would you tell them if you had just ended a serious relationship with a boyfriend? As long as your new partner knows about your past they really shouldn't care how many relationships you have had before him.

  • I'm sure it will come up eventually.
Have you met them before? How close are you with them?

  • I think your partner has the responsibility of telling HIS family about your background. You owe your partner the truth. He owes his family the respect. If he chooses not to confide in his family, that's his choice.
