5 Bumps

Do you ever buy something in more than one size for your kids?

I do this often, if I find something that I know they will love.  I bought two of these today, in a size that will fit now and in the spring, and one the next size up.  http://shirt.woot.com/offers/penguin-suit  I can't wait until my kiddo sees it.  He is OBSESSED with penguins, and I buy every penguin shirt that Woot has.

  • All the time! I peruse clearance racks, and buy anything he might be able to wear in the next year or two if I can find a good deal.

  • Yep, especially shoes and jeans. He goes through both so fast that it is just easier to buy a couple he loves in different sizes so i am not going back to the store a month later and then they don't have the ones he liked.

  • Sometimes, but only with classic type things, things that dont date, eg- navy shorts, demin shorts or skirts, plain tops.......not fad or character type things.

  • No, my kids are growing too fast for me to do that. In September, at the beginning of our school year my son was wearing size 5 shoes and fit comfortably in size 10 clothes. My daughter was in a size 10 shoe and size 5 clothes.

Now, he's wearing size 7 shoes (same as me) and 12 clothes, she's wearing 12/13 shoes (depends on brand) and in between 6 and 7 clothes. I honestly have NO idea what size they'll be in in another 6 months.

  • No. But 2of my kids are teens. What they love today might be an abomination tomorrow. And my nearly 15 yr old might be 2 sizes bigger next week never mind next season.
