  • We do our pork chops with rice. 1 cup rice, 1 1/2 cups water, Packet of onion soup, can of mushrooms and a little pimento (optional).
Combine everything, lay the pork chops on top, cover tightly with foil and bake for about 50 minutes. You can broil the pork chops before to sear in a little flavor, but it's not necessary. They'll be very most and tender.

  • Sometimes I just mix noodles with butter, cream of mushroom soup and peas. It's so good.

  • Oh yea I have a great pasta recipe! I made my own linguinie for this (SO easy 1 1/2 cups flour and an egg with a sprinkle of water if you need it, roll it out [flour flour flour your surfaces] boil immediatly in salt water or let it dry out)

    So the Braised Beef Ragu!
1 pound of beef chuck roast, 1 - 14 oz can of crushed tomatoes, 1 - 14 oz can of whole peeled tomatoes, 6 cloves of garlic, minced, 1 cup of red wine, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of fresh basil, parmesan cheese for serving
For the sauce, place the chuck roast in a dutch oven or covered oven and stove safe dish OR in a crock pot low for 8hrs like I did. Pour in the can of crushed tomatoes, hand-squeeze-crush the wh ole tomatoes onto the beef (I like the rustic texture of hand-squeezed), and add garlic, wine, salt & sugar. Put it in oven at 250 degrees for 5-8 hours. The beef is done when it pulls apart easily, shredded

  • I like this recipe as a side dish because I can sneak in some veggie juice for my non-green-eating family.

    Cheese-Tomato Macaroni
    2 tbsp butter or margarine
    1/2 cup finely choped onion
    2 tbsp flour
1 12-ounce can cocktail vegetable juice
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
    1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook onion in melted butter or margarine till tender. Gradually stir in flour, then vegetable juice. Cook, stirring, till thickened. Stir in macaroni, pepper, and one cup of the cheese. Mix well. Bake about 25 minutes till bubbly and hot. Stir, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and bake till cheese melts--about one minute.
